How Gideon handles your information.

Gideon is a private assistant operated by Rob Randall for members of the Randall household. It is not a public service and has no other users. "You" below means a person who has granted Gideon access to their own Google account.

Gideon's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, Google user data is used only to provide the household features described on the home page. It is not sold, not transferred to third parties, not used for advertising, and not used to train or improve any AI or machine learning model. No human other than the account holder and the household operator reads it.
Nothing. There are no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. Standard server logs kept by the hosting provider may record requests, as they do for any website.
Your data is not shared with anyone. It is not sold, rented, published, or given to any third-party service or advertiser. Each household member's data is accessed only to carry out work for that household, and Gideon does not disclose one person's private information to another without that person's agreement.
You control access, and you can end it at any time:
Information Gideon holds is kept only as long as it is useful to the household, and is deleted on request.
Access is granted per person through Google's own consent process, with each grant held separately so it can be revoked on its own. Credentials are kept in the macOS Keychain rather than in files. Permissions are kept as narrow as the work allows.
Gideon is used within one family and may hold information about the children in that household, entered by their parents. It is not offered to children as a service and does not collect information from children directly.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
