Gideon is a private AI assistant that helps one household run its day-to-day life.
It is built and operated by Rob Randall for the Randall family. It is not a commercial product, it is not offered to the public, and there is no sign-up. This page exists because Google requires an application using its APIs to publish a homepage and a privacy policy.
Gideon keeps household information in one organised place and does the work that information supports:
Gideon stores its own working data in Google Sheets, and — with each person's explicit permission — reads from and writes to their Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, Tasks and Gmail in order to do the work above. Nobody's data is touched without that person granting access first, and any of them can withdraw it at any time.
Privacy: Gideon's use of Google user data is described in full in the privacy policy. Data is never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used to train AI models.
